Puno – Floating Islands of the Uros 1/2 day
The Uros Islands are located about 8 km from Puno. This visit allows us to discover one of the most emblematic places in the Bay of Puno on Lake Titicaca: an ancestral civilization that lives among the reeds. It is an Aymara-speaking community that still preserves traditional skills such as fishing, bird hunting, and egg gathering.
The men are renowned for their expertise in building and handling reed boats, while the women are skilled in the art of weaving rugs. This community prefers to maintain its isolated existence, detached from the civilizations of the mainland.
