On the way to Taquile Island, you'll visit the floating islands of the Uros. Taquile is a naturally beautiful island located 35 km from the city of Puno.
The inhabitants of this island are especially known for their fine textiles, which are among the finest Peruvian handicrafts. On the island, travelers are greeted by a spectacular view of the lake and a simple stone gateway.
In addition, Taquile Island boasts beautiful landscapes and archaeological sites; however, the most important asset of the place is its inhabitants of Quechua origin who are characterized by their hospitality and charisma towards visitors.
NOTE: Please take into account the sailing times for this excursion.
