On this tour, our guide and private transport will pick you up at your hotel in La Paz, and depart for the enigmatic ruins of Tiahuanaco, located southeast of Lake Titicaca, about 70 km away, on a journey of approximately 2 hours on paved roads.

Upon arrival, the first stop will be at the Tiahuanaco Site Museum, where we will see a collection of lithic stones and ceramics found in the region, including the famous Keros Cups, which were ceremonially buried after the rituals.

Later, we will explore Puma Punku, a site full of mystery, and continue with the visit to the Tiahuanaco Archaeological Complex, where we will learn about its temples, such as Kalasasaya, the Akapana pyramid, the Bennett monolith, the Gate of the Sun and other outstanding elements.

Tiahuanaco was inhabited between 2000 and 1500 BC as a small agricultural community, but from 300 AD onwards, it transformed into an administrative and pilgrimage center.

Finally, we will enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant, and after the meal, we will return to La Paz, where we will transfer you back to your hotel in the city center.
